Holbrook win contract with international biotechnology business
Stockport based IT experts have won a contract to help a leading international biotechnology company.
Business solutions experts, the Holbrook IT Group, has provided Manchester-based Avecia with industry-leading accounting and management software aimed at boosting business efficiency and maximising profits.
The installation of Access Dimensions has delivered major business benefits for the innovative biotech medical company significantly upgrading and streamlining its complex Head Office financial management systems.
Elaine Coates, Avecia’s Finance Manager, said: “We are a large, international organisation with a complex Group structure and this represents significant challenges when it comes to managing data and finance.
“Our previous processes were outdated and needed streamlining. We spoke to Access, who put us in touch with Holbrook as the North’s premier dealer for Access Accounts software.
“The new system has put us at the forefront of technology and the benefits they have provided in terms of efficiency and functionality have been far reaching.”
Avecia is a leading private biotechnology company focused on the development and manufacture of innovative biotechnology-based medicines.
The company has two main operating units in Billingham, Teesside, and in Massachusetts, USA. Financial reporting is controlled centrally from Avecia’s Manchester corporate headquarters.
