Holbrook provide Rolls Royce service to expanding high-tech company
Business solutions specialists the Holbrook IT Group is helping an expanding high-tech manufacturer to find the cutting edge.
The South Yorkshire company has implemented an integrated manufacturing control, accounting and management software system which has provided major business benefits to Turbine Surface Technologies Ltd (TSTL).
TSTL was formed in August 2000 as a joint venture company owned jointly by Rolls-Royce and Chromalloy. Its core business is the development, manufacture and sale of coatings for turbine components, notably aerospace turbine blades and nozzle guide vanes for Rolls-Royce.
The Nottingham-based business was set-up as a specialist centre of technological and manufacturing excellence building on the strengths of both parent companies - Rolls-Royce's innovation of new coatings allied with Chromalloy's proven production implementation.
TSTL turned to Holbrook to provide the right manufacturing, financial and management IT software to deliver improved supply chain integration and maximise business performance.
The Access Supply Chain ERP solution is helping TSTL to achieve its business goals by improving management efficiency and effectiveness using the best tools and techniques available.
Duncan Parry, IT Operations Coordinator of TSTL, said: "Holbrook has been a positive business partner.
"The Access IT solution has enabled us to have far greater visibility over sales and works orders which have helped in reducing lead times and lowering stock levels. In addition, the reporting functionality within the software provides the Management Team with up to date, relevant and accurate information which has dramatically improved vital decision making.
"Holbrook's professional expertise and dedication to the project throughout the process has ensured that the solution has been implemented within the defined timescales and at the agreed cost.
"When implementing a system that is critical to an organisation, it is essential that the selected business partner is fully committed to providing a premium service in all aspects of project management and not just a software application. Although Holbrook use a structured methodology to project management, they have also demonstrated the ability to adopt a totally flexible approach whenever necessary to meet ever changing demands from the TSTL business."
